Defining who is and isn't a stakeholder is not easy but, for our purposes, we believe that anyone who might in any way benefit or lose out as a result of Marine Conservation Zones should be included. The list of people that this encompasses is long and, if you are reading this, then you are probably a stakeholder yourself.
Finding Sanctuary has suggested its own groupings of stakeholders based on the way that they use the sea. These broad divisions help to make our communications more targeted and ensure that stakeholders are more easily able to access information.
For Finding Sanctuary we have grouped stakeholders into nine main groups:
