Find out what species and habitats MCZs will protect
Natural England have produced a catalogue of the features (species and habitats) which will be protected by new Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs).
The online catalogue provides photos and descriptions of the species and habitats which are listed in the Ecological Network Guidance. The Guidance was recently published by Natural England and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) to guide the work of the four regional project stakeholder groups to plan MCZs.
This is a useful tool for people involved in the planning of MCZs but also for those who just want to find out more about some of the interesting animals and plants that live in our seas.
