Rebecca is the Coastal, Catchment, Levels & Moors Project Officer for Somerset County Council.

Ken is a marine biologist and coastal manager with 18 years practical experience in ICZM, marine spatial planning, marine research and MPA management within the UK and abroad. As the Coastal Policy Manager for Dorset County Council, Ken deals with marine and coastal policy issues relating to Dorset County Council's functions. In his current role, Ken develops projects which support the Council's strategic aims in the marine and coastal environment, and acts as Secretary to the Dorset Coast Forum. Past research interests have focussed on the utilisation of coastal habitats by commercially important species, the effects of anthropogenic and natural impacts on coastal habitats, and the sustainable management of both tropical and temperate coastal and marine resource

Jon Davies has been the JNCC's Marine Protected Sites Team Manager since May 2008. Prior to this he was responsible for coordinating the Mapping European Seabed Habitats (MESH) project. In 1993 Jon joined the Nature Conservancy Council's Marine Nature Conservation Review (MNCR) Team undertaking habitat surveys around the UK coasts. Following six years of post doctoral research on remote sensing and seabed mapping, Jon rejoined JNCC as the Marine Monitoring Officer to lead its input to the UK Marine Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) Project. He has acted as chair to several national and international groups including the International Council for the Exploration of the Seas (ICES) Steering Group on Quality Assurance of Biological Measurements in the Northeast Atlantic group that prepared marine monitoring advice for OSPAR.

Phil has worked for the National Trust for 25 years on coastal and marine issues, initially on the Isle of Wight and for the last twenty years in Cornwall. He was awarded an MSc in Environmental Management by the University of London, with a focus on protected area management. In 2007 he was appointed as National Trust Coast and Marine Advisor working across England, Wales and Northern Ireland supporting colleagues on dealing with coastal change issues and working with external partners to promote sustainable approaches to the development of coastal and marine management. He lives in Cornwall.

Trevor Edwards is the Chief Executive and Director of Cornwall Wildlife Trust. He has held this position for the last 15 years and has worked at Cornwall Wildlife Trust since 1980. He is ultimately responsible for the strategic direction of Cornwall Wildlife Trust and to a Board of Trustees. He is also the Managing Director of Cornwall Environmental Consultants, the professional arm of Cornwall Wildlife Trust which carries out environmental assessments and monitoring. He is the Director of the South West Wildlife Trusts and a Founder member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.

Jenny Christie, a marine biologist with over 14 years’ experience, is Cornwall Council’s Maritime Environment Officer.  Specialising in fisheries, she has worked from commercial, artisinal and research vessels in the South Atlantic, North Sea, Indian Ocean and Caribbean.  In the UK she was a lecturer in Marine Biology before joining the Council in 2006.  She now leads on coastal & marine policy and projects, provides strategic advice, and ensures maritime issues are addressed throughout the work of the authority.

Christine Marshall is the Executive Director of South West Food and Drink. She has a background in small business management, hotel keeping and catering. Her role combines the day to day management of all staff and their activities together with a responsibility for delivery of projects, funding streams and corporate governance. She has ultimate responsibility for all the funding streams that are administered by South West Food and Drink. She has a strategic role for the organisation to develop new projects together with the corresponding funding and personnel.

Jamie manages the national Marine Conservation Zone project. Previously he worked as the Joint Nature Conservation Committee’s Marine Projected Areas Network Manager. Following his role as Special Area of Conservation Project Officer for Cardigan Bay, he managed the establishment of a stakeholder-led MPA network in the Philippines and a MPA network strengthening project in the Caribbean before returning to the UK.

Helen is a Senior Conversation Officer for the RSPB in South West England where she has worked for the past 12 years. She has a background in biological oceanography and leads the charity's marine and seabird work in the region, including monitoring the status and distribution of the region's seabirds and taking action to safeguard and recover declining seabird populations. She has also spent time as Senior Policy Officer with BirdLife International's Global Seabird Programme, which works to reduce incidental bycatch of albatrosses and petrels in commercial longline fisheries.

Rachel Waldock is Natural England's marine specialist for Dorset. She is a marine biologist with a wide ranging research background including genetics and pollution. She was previously a Senior Environmental Impact Assessor with CEFAS and has headed various teams with responsibility to Defra for impact assessments.

Aiden Winder is Devon County Council's Marine and Coastal Officer and has been leading on coastal and marine issues at Devon County Council for the last 22 years. His work has included the preparation of management plans for two heritage coasts and the Exe Estuary. He was jointly responsible for the development of the World Heritage Site status for the East Devon and Dorset coastlines. He most recently led the establishment of the Devon Maritime Forum which brings together a broad range of partners to work on themes affecting the Devon coast.
